Nevada in the West is a lively new history magazine that explores the fascinating past of the SilverState, from the nineteenth century to the present, north and south, urban and rural.  From early explorers, mining moguls, and frontier lawmen to political leaders, artists, entertainers, mobsters and gaming industry giants, the most colorful personalities from Nevada’s history make appearances in the pages of the magazine.  Every issue also contains book reviews, quizzes to test your knowledge of the state, and other features.

The magazine is a full color, illustrated 38 page (8 ½” x 11”) publication issued four times a year in March, June, September, and December.  It is closely targeted at a select audience: Individuals in and outside the state who are interested in Nevada and its past; people who buy and read Nevada and Western-related magazines and books; people who visit historic sites in Nevada and the West, and who travel to attend events associated with such sites or historical events. Our readers tend to be people who own Western art, and own or buy antiques and historical memorabilia.

Nevada in the West is sold at selected retail outlets around the state, and is distributed at various locations where it is seen by Nevada residents and visitors, but it is circulated primarily by subscription to individuals, businesses, libraries, museums, and schools. All issues have substantial free distribution for promotional purposes. The regular press run is 2,500 copies, all of which are distributed.
